Please join Church Women United as we celebrate this year's combined Human Rights Day and World Community Day. A light lunch will be served.

We have planned an exciting program which will include singing and a powerful speaker: Minister Ciara Taylor from the Alton Mission Church.

Also the CWU 2026 Human Rights Day award and the World Community Day award wil be presented to deserving honorees.

Human Rights Day remembers our Teacher. Jesus said, “Love one another as I have loved you,” He did not mean for us to love just some people, He truly meant for us to love everyone. This has been the message of CWU since our beginnings in 1943 and will continue to be one of the pillars that supports and drives our movement.

World Community Day emphasizes peace and justice. The once clear categories of “domestic” and “foreign” were consciously blurred so the global scope of the wide range of problems could be emphasized on World Community Day.

Sincerely,
Pat Jordan, VP/Ecumenical Chair

Minister Joyce Elliot, President
