Community Orchard
Main Street UMC’s Community Orchard is a ministry of hospitality, nourishment, and sharing with our neighbors. Planted along Washington Street in 2024, the orchard includes six heritage apple trees selected to produce fruit at different times from mid-summer through fall. As the trees mature, the harvest will grow, providing fresh fruit that anyone in the community is welcome to pick and enjoy.
The orchard is also a living expression of our call to care for creation and generously share what has been entrusted to us. Its location along a neighborhood sidewalk makes that invitation wonderfully simple: when the apples are ripe, come and pick one! And the orchard has gifts to share in every season—from blossom-filled trees and their lovely fragrance in spring to the growing abundance of fruit at harvest time.
