The IGRC Central District is hosting a conference-wide event on how to build relationships with your congregation, your neighbors and with strangers.
The single-day event will be held on Jan. 31 at Mascoutah Bethel UMC, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Rev. Ashlee Alley Crawford from Discipleship Ministries will be the guest speaker for this event which will include the following workshops. Each registrant needs to select ONE workshop with which they will attend.
Living the Life of Hope – Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce
The result of living generously; freely offering from one’s abundance; loving more than self; reflecting the generosity of God shines the light of hope!
Growing the Life of Faith – Nancy Martin
A conversation offering insight into a small rural church with a less than quarter time pastor that regularly has 2 to 3 generations (sometimes 4!) of the same families in the pews on a Sunday morning. I will share about small groups we are offering that have allowed us to expand our reach into our community and how our church members are stepping in to lead and grow these groups and our church.
Loving the Stages of Life – Megan Mason (Clinton UMC) & TBD (Mascoutah Bethel UMC)
Join us for a workshop on fostering relationships between all generations in your congregation. We will explore aspects of each generation and brainstorm ways to implement Intergenerational programs.
Being a Beacon of Hope – Sam Rodriguez
Beacon of Hope is an interactive workshop designed to help your congregation rediscover its calling to shine the light of Christ in practical, transformative ways. Through guided discussions, hands-on activities, and real-life applications, participants will explore how to reach new people, share authentic stories of faith, and cultivate a culture of radical hospitality.
